Research
Interests:
My research interests revolve around the use of stem cell
transplantation for the treatment of human spinal cord injury.
Our initial study in 8 human subjects has previously been
published in Neurotrauma. We have a new study, probably starting
in 2006. I also work extensively in the surgical technique
and device development for minimally invasive spine surgery.
Current research endeavors there include the analysis of
muscle function following minimally invasive spinal surgery
compared to open surgical procedures.
