Research
Interests:
My research focuses on the cognitive neuroscience of empathy, sympathy, imitation, and perspective taking, all essential aspects of human social communication, which are involved in intersubjective transactions between self and others. Projects combine behavioral techniques, physiological measures (e.g., ERPs, EMG, heart rate, arterial pressure, respiratory sinus arrhythmia), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in healthy adults and children, as well as in individuals exhibiting social cognitive deficits.
