The goal of this project is to perform a direct family study of Intermittent Explosive Disorder and Community Controls.

Impulsive Aggression : A Twin Study of Behavior and 5-HT.
The goal of this project is a twin study of aggression, impulsivity (using both laboratory and psychometric measures) and structural, functional, and genotypic aspects of the 5-HT transporter.

Fluoxetine vs. Divalproex: Treatment Correlates in IED.
The goal of this project is a placebo-controlled trial of fluoxetine vs. divalproex treatment in individuals with Intermittent Explosive Disorder. Funded supplements include a project examining the both basic and neuroimaging of emotional information processing before and after treatment in this study.

The goal of this project is to develop a new video, computer-based tool to assess social information processing in healthy volunteers and in subjects with IED.
